What Are Plugins?
Plugins are small programs that are used to "plug in" to a main program. These plugins provide extra functionality to the main program, increasing its capability.
Why Do I Need Them?
Pure Motion provides a number of plugins for its software (for example, EditStudio) which allow EditStudio to load and save a variety of file formats, as well perform complex video and audio effects.
Why Not Just Include This In The Programs Themselves?
Plugins have several advantages over providing the added functionality to the programs themselves:
What Do They Look Like?
Pure Motion's plugins are Windows DLL files (Dynamically Linked Libraries) and have names like EffectBalance.dll and BitmapJpeg.dll.
Where Are They Kept?
Pure Motion keeps its plugins in a folder which is called C:\Program Files\PureMotion\Plugins by default (this may be different if you have installed them to another location). If you cannot see any files in the plugins folder, make sure "Show All Types" is selected in the Folder Options dialog box.
What Programs Use Them?
Most Pure Motion programs use some or all of the plugins.
